Petraki Place I is on the first floor – one flight of original marble stairs – of a grand and elegant 19th century building very near to Galata Tower. The building entrance is on a characterful cobbled street, packed with intriguing boutiques and cafés. A few floors up on the roof-top, a shared terrace has gorgeous views across Golden Horn to the Old City. You’re invited to take your drinks or meals up to the roof terrace any time you like, for a very special experience of the city.

It’s about 3 minutes walk to Sishane metro station, less than 5 minutes walk to Tünel funicular and a short downhill walk to connect with the tram for Sultanahmet. Famous Istiklal Avenue is less than 5 minutes walk up the hill.

The apartment opens into a welcoming hall with coat storage and the dining room and kitchen either side. The living room with flat-screen TV and comfy sofa is right next to the dining room, adding up to a versatile area for relaxing. The bay windows in the living room overhang the characterful street below: great for people-watching. There are two double bedrooms, one of which has a stylish en-suite shower room. This same bedroom connects to the third, small bedroom, ideal for a child or close friend. All bedrooms have high quality crisp white linens. The additional family bathroom is spacious with a large shower. The kitchen is contemporary, chic and well-equipped with high-end appliances including dish-washer.

This apartment is 130 m2 in total, with lovely vaulted high ceilings retaining some original frescoes. A few of the walls have been stripped back to brick, which together with Anatolian textiles gives a cosy atmosphere. The bedrooms comfortably accommodate five people.

Guests will have the complete privacy of the entire apartment. The roof terrace, shared with all apartments in the building, is available for your careful use at any time.

Boutique haven in incredible location

I would thoroughly recommend this apartment:

an incredible location in the heart of Beyoglu, next to Galata Tower, close to great restaurants, shops and bars popular with locals and walking distance to the more touristy Sultanahmet (although be prepared for the hills!);

extremely high specification and decor in the apartment itself – boutique-style design, very spacious, comfy beds, modern bathrooms;

access to roof terrace with breathtaking views over the Golden Horn and the city, perfect for watching the sunset as well as the flat itself, the customer service before and during (confirming the booking, acknowledging payment, offering advice, greet on arrival) was impeccable.
