If there is more than one person traveling, then the person making the reservation is identified as the 'lead name' and this person is responsible for all payments. We will not make any cancellation, amendments or enter into correspondence regarding the reservation with any party other than the lead name. 1. Smoking and open fire are not allowed in any of our apartments or buildings 2. Rates Rates include bed linens and towels, kitchen utensils, electricity, gas, tap water, Wi-Fi internet, cable TV and all taxes. The property will be cleaned when you leave it, but should be left tidy and in good order otherwise we reserve the right to charge an additional cleaning fee of €35. 3. Security Deposit Please be aware that a fully refundable security deposit is required as indemnity against damage and breakage. This deposit is €150 per booking. The security deposit will be returned to your credit card in full when you have left the property without any damage. 4. Payments The initial payment (30%, required to secure a booking) can be made during the online booking by credit card or PayPal. Final payment (the remaining 70%) can be done either: a) in cash on arrival (we will then waive the 5% credit card fee) or b) by credit card or PayPal before your arrival (we must then charge 5% credit card fee) We don't have a POS machine to process credit card payments on arrival. Please remember that we will not hand you the keys until we receive the full rental payment and security deposit. 5. Behaviour Please remember that the apartment you will be occupying is in a residential building. Neighbours may have to work the next day, so please respect their need for peace and quiet. You must accept responsibility for the proper conduct of you and your party. In the case of serious misconduct or valid complaints from neighbours we reserve the right to terminate your stay with us and if we do so we shall have no further responsibility to you. In this case we will not return your security deposit. Accidents do happen! If something untoward does happen to you during your stay in the apartment, resulting in damage then please inform us as soon as possible and we will try to help. If you do cause any serious damage, you agree to indemnify us against any claim including costs made against us. Before your departure, please check to see that your travel insurance covers these sorts of costs. 6. Partying in the apartment is not allowed You are not allowed to party in the apartment. In the neighbourhood there are many suitable venues for this. If we receive any complaints from the neigbours to us about this, it will be considered as a serious misconduct and will have to apply the terms written in number 5. 7. Check-in and Check-out The earliest check-in hour is 15:00 and latest check-out time is 11:00. Although we do our utmost to accommodate individual needs, we cannot guarantee early morning access to the property unless you have booked for the previous night. Our guest representative will be waiting for you at the property on your arrival and he/she will come to collect the keys at your departure at the agreed times. 8. Cancelling your booking If you wish to cancel your booking we must be notified in writing by the lead name, either by recorded & acknowledged mail, fax or email. Cancellation charges will apply and these depend on when your written notification is received by us. LESS THAN 20 DAYS NOTICE OR NO NOTICE: cancellation charge of 100% of the value of your booking BETWEEN 20 AND 40 DAYS NOTICE: cancellation charge of 30% of the total value of your booking OVER 40 DAYS NOTICE: cancellation charge of 50 Euro only We are unable to make any more refunds than mentioned above even if cancellation is made as a result of force majeure which includes, but is not limited to, acts or threat of war, government action, strike, civil unrest, fire, failure of public utilities, medical emergency, natural or nuclear disaster or airport closure. Under some circumstances you may be able to recover the majority of the cancellation fees under the terms of your holiday insurance policy. We strongly recommend you to get one. 9. Modifying your holiday during your stay If you modify your holiday arrangements/accommodate extra guests in the apartment not booked with us or without our authorisation, you will be breaking the contract. We shall be unable to accept any liability for loss, damage or other claim resulting from your holiday. You will also be liable for additional charges to cover guests not booked through us. Should you depart the apartment early, for whatever reason, we are unable to offer a refund. We will provide information to your insurance company should you need it. 10. Access The owner/manager of the apartment, or authorised personnel, has the right to do a pre-arranged inspection of the apartment at any time (although we have never needed to do this). 11. Insurance You should always be adequately insured before traveling abroad. Please make sure that your insurance covers the costs you might face if: - you cancel your booking with us or if you decide to leave before your agreed departure date for any reason.
- you cause any damage to the property and furniture.
- your valuables are stolen or damaged.
- you have an accident and/or if you need any medical treatment.
12. Changes We reserve the right to update any of its terms and conditions at any time, as may be required and as may be in line with our business. The obligation is placed on all users of the website to ensure adequate measures are taken to maintain an awareness of such terms and conditions on a regular basis. By agreeing to use this site, it is implied that any such changes are accepted by any such third party and, that any such third party undertakes to comply with any such changes. 13. Website and brochure accuracy We work very hard to ensure that everything you read on our website is as accurate and up-to-date as possible. However, it is possible that certain advertised facilities may be withdrawn as a result of decisions outside our control such as local maintenance, conservation schemes and adverse weather or failure of public utilities. We do not accept liability if facilities are withdrawn for reasons beyond our control. 14. It is our promise that we will never rent, sell, share or distribute any personally identifiable information about you or your business to any third party without your expressed permission, except in the case where it is required by law or subpoena. Certain information, such as name and contact details, is collected and maintained internally by istanbul!place holiday apartments for use in our records and accounting systems. istanbul!place does not store financial details of its customers.
