galata!place is on the second floor of an elegant 19th century building very near the beautiful Galata Tower. The apartment has a huge living/dining room with two sofas plus a dining table in the cumba (bay window area) which overlooks the street below. From these windows there are views of the tower to one side, beautifully lit at night, and a little of the Bosphorus in the opposite direction. Sishane metro station is about 3 minutes’ walk away.

Along a spacious hallway there are two quiet and comfortable bedrooms (one double, one twin) plus a very large, well-equipped kitchen with stylish breakfast table. The apartment has a big family bathroom (with bath and shower over) and smaller second loo.

galata!place is a spacious 120 m2 in total, bright and airy with lovely high ceilings. All period features (sash windows, panelled double doors etc) have been reinstated/restored and the floors are exposed original floorboards. The living room has an elegant original ceiling fresco in restful sea-green colours which are echoed in the furnishings throughout the apartment. galata!place comfortably accommodates five to six people.

There is a great view of Galata Tower from the living room and a thriving and welcoming Turkish community at your doorstep. It is lovely living in the old quarter yet avoiding the bustle of tourists when you choose. Restaurants abound. The apartment is well serviced and the family will arrange transfers.Truly lovely!”
